Sharing things that bring me joy with all of you lovelies. I'm a trainer. I'm one of those lucky people who decided that if you hate what you do for a living, you should stop doing it and go find something you're passionate about. Best advice I ever took. Enjoy the world, people. Make it yours, make it good, make it matter. Be a better human. That's what I'm trying to do. It's a pretty awesome gig.
So week 3 is over, and I was a bit surprised at how fatigued I felt during my 1+ sets. I ended the week with Bench and even though the 1+ was a challenge, I still managed to get three quality reps at a weight that was my 1RM one year ago. That’s pretty darn exciting.
I’ve got Mario on board with Wendler now, too. I don’t know if I mentioned that in last week’s update. He likes how fast the workouts are because he really hates spending time in the gym. As the weather gets nicer, I’ve found a good compromise for the two of us.
In general, I prefer going to go the gym we can walk to. He prefers going to the one we drive to. Now that it’s nicer out, we can drive to the gym, lift together, then he can drive home and I can run home. It’s about 2.5 miles, but I can tack on extra miles easily if I go through different neighborhoods.
It’s all about finding what works for you personally, and if you’re in a relationship or have a family, finding what works best for everyone. Think creatively, find solutions. Get your goals.
…I want a breast reduction:
I just realized I’m supposed to be teaching Cycle tonight and I totally don’t have a sports bra on.
